This October marks the 10th anniversary of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and today, 18 October, is the actual day in the history of the release we announced on our blog. Wow, time flies when you're having fun! So starting today, to celebrate this anniversary with the community, we've come up with an idea for a mini-event on the world of trucks - ETS 210 years!

... But first, we'd like to share with you the history of some of the games we all love to play and work on.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 comes from another era in the games industry, when PC games were mostly released in box form to retail shelves. We first released ETS2 in the autumn of 2012, and it was an incredible success in its first few days of release, which was completely unexpected. And, when we saw the game at number one in the best-seller charts in Germany, the UK, Poland and France, we had little idea that it would become such a phenomenon.
